Rationalise invoices
Imagine if you had 80 different companies supplying just one single product. That was the position facing a Stenmoore client, a national retailer with 200 outlets. It had a great need for temporary staff in its stores and across the country had developed a supplier network of 80 agencies. They all varied as to costs and margins; there was no electronic process for managing the activity and no management information on how the staff were performing. But worst of all, these 80 suppliers sent in thousands of low value invoices every month – all of which had to be to be reconciled and processed.
We designed a master vendor solution with a single supplier. Time spent reconciling invoices was cut drastically, and costs were brought in line.
Create and run procurement systems
There’s a common tension in many companies between those who order goods and those who have to pay for them. Procurement sits at one end of the process, and Accounts Payable at the other and they often don’t speak the same language. Therefore when they talk, it’s usually about incomplete paperwork and missing purchase order numbers. None of this activity adds to your profits or reflects your core business; it’s just a waste of time. Coordinating public sector tenders
Public sector contracts are highly prized in the private sector. After all, public sector bodies will always pay the bill. Therefore one of our construction clients has a contract with us to administer their tender process.
We manage the response to the initial advert, completing the pre qualification questionnaire, liaise with the client to resolve queries and ensure that schedules are hit.
